Frank Garbutt LCG, M.A. is an indentured time served decorator who progressed to Senior Lecturer and Head of Decorative Design at Doncaster College.

In addition to domestic and commercial decorating, the creation and reproduction of historic decorative treatments, including graining, marbling and gilding, together with all forms of broken colour work, have been a focus of his activities since 1987. Much work has been carried out in London but also in other areas of the country. Many projects have won national awards, often carried out in collaboration with bodies such as English Heritage.

In 2002, Frank Garbutt Ltd. relocated and was established as a specialist and general decorating firm based in the picturesque Yorkshire coastal village of Robin Hood’s Bay.
